#2. Swap out plastics in the kitchen. Opt for wood, stainless and glass instead.

#3. Clean up your personal care products. Clean options can be found in my low tox shop. Linked in the bio

    Greenwashing what is it?

Today’s reminder to ask questions about everything…including what is in your personal care products. When terms like “Natural” “Clean” & “Eco-Friendly”, “plant based” are not strictly regulated then companies can use these terms to promote their “natural products and sell to the wannabe clean consumer, ahem…you 👇🏻 and me 🙋🏼‍♀️ The easiest ingredients to spot and the best starting place is to look for:

    ❌ Fragrance/parfum

    ❌ingredients ending in ETH

    ❌synthetic dyes

    Three items to ditch

    1. ❌ Air Fresheners - Most mainstream air fresheners are riddled with toxic chemicals like formaldehyde, benzene and phthalate’s. Consider removing these items from your home and see if you notice a difference.

    2. ❌ Car Air Fresheners - These have the same concern as above.

    3. ⚠️ Candles - Consider candles made from beeswax or coconut wax instead of petroleum based paraffin wax with synthetic scent. Opt of candles made using essential oils and have both a wooden or cotton wick.

There is what in our dust?

Dust often contains harmful chemicals like flame retardants and phthalates, which can be harmful to our loved ones.

The best option to reduce this exposure is to dust often and always opt for WET dusting instead of dry dusting!

Wet dusting traps dust instead of recirculating it into the air, making it a healthier choice. Let’s keep our homes safe and clean offering us the ability to thrive in our daily lives. ✨

The affects of Blue Light on our body

Fall asleep faster by reducing blue light before bedtime!

1️⃣ Limit screen time: Try to reduce electronics usage at least an hour before bed. Your body will thank you!

2️⃣ Switch to red light: Use red light bulbs in your lamps for a calming atmosphere that promotes relaxation.

3️⃣ Wear blue light-blocking glasses: My favourite! If you must use your television, laptop, or your phone try these glasses can help protect your eyes and improve your sleep quality.

    Try this to find Presence

‘Cultivating Presence’…as a society we tend to live in our heads, always - thinking, planning, striving, achieving, go go go…but what happened to the art of Being?!

We come to earth to experience the energy and physical form of a human being…but so easily we get caught up and become what feels like human doings. If we never take a moment to listen and pay attention to what is happening around us how will we enjoy the little things life has to offer.
